america's next flyy model.....kinda. lol.

the crowd gathered around like this was the most exciting part of the 80-degree night. dark shadows hovered over the parts of the blocked off street that wasn't flooded by the orange lights casting above us. it made for the perfect vogue-esque photo shoot.

walkers-by shouted out and whistled and what had started out as just a few normal pictures on a normal weekend at the Arts Beats & Eats festival turned into a all out spectacle in a blocked-off underpass.

one black woman walked by snapping her fingers, shouting, "girl, have fun with it!"

so, i did. lol.

this weekend was the most fun i've had in a while. friday found me sleeping early, knocked out on the living room floor. saturday was the infamous 'shoot', sunday we went downtown to the jazz fest, once again taking pics anywhere i could stand still long enough to strike a pose in my new shorts (that i got on clearance for THREE dollars-yay!).

i haven't taken pics in a long time, so it was fun to summon my modeling days and be fabulous and smile for the camera. detroit's downtown has become quite beautiful now so there was plenty of good spirits and an all around jovial-ness in the air. it made me happy.

i've been sporting a straight look cause i was itching to flat iron my hair a while back to check the growth, but bf convinced me i should wait until my previous set date of the end of october to do that, and just don some straight hair for a while until the urge passed. so, if you're wondering why i have the beyonce thing going, that's why. it was a change, but it's coming out soon....i miss my fro!

contrary to what the small crowd that gathered thought, these pics will not appear in any magazine. it was just me, having fun and being flyy.
