pretty interesting tag for the close of 2008... saw this on Mr. Socialight's blog and he has informed me that i am tagged. lol. so, here goes...


1. What did you do in 2008 that you’d never done before?

lived on my own. ahhh the joy.


2. Did you keep your new years’ resolutions, and will you make more for next year?

mostly. a friend told me not to make any more resolutions though. i'm going to set a couple goals every three months, so i am continuously growing. one of the first being to curb my procrastination problem. doesn't go well with success. lol. or writing deadlines. lol.


3. Did anyone close to you give birth?

no.


4. Did anyone close to you die?

no. thank goodness.


5. What countries did you visit?

none. but that will definitely be remedied in 2009, trust.


6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?

a thriving writing career, the money to travel when and where i want, and Kanye. lol


7. What date from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?

the day i finally accepted it.


8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?

book deal!


9. What was your biggest failure?

procrastinating on things i should have long ago completed.


10. Did you suffer illness or injury?

friggin 3 week bronchitis/fluness. other than that, no..


11. What was the best thing you bought?

nothing really extraordinary.


12. Whose behavior merited celebration?

my babies. the whole season. and afterwards, when they were told the whole season was for nothing. they handled it very maturely.


13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?

the puppy appalled me at times. and her gambling (problem) made me sad sometimes.


14. Where did most of your money go?

bills, unfortunately. lol.


15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?

New York!!! and him, for a brief moment.

'Words', by Anthony David and India Arie.

writing and traveling.

procrastinating. joking. ignoring. idolizing. talking to unworthy people.

nope.

The Game, Heroes, Gossip Girl, and any show Barack Obama was on.


23. Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year?

i don't hate anyone. but there are a few on my list...


24. What was the best book you read?

a book on realizing your self-worth. i'll be back with author and title. lol.

and The Bible stands as my greatest inspiration. even in writing. i know now i should only accept an Apple Tree, and nothing less. (do ya research homies! lol)


25. What was your greatest musical discovery?

Anthony Hamilton's cd, Musiq's new cd. Jazmine Sullivan's cd, and the song 'Words'.


26. What did you want and get?

validation.


27. What did you want and not get?

a Pontiac G6. and a crazysexycoolartsy loft somewhere. 2009 brings these things and more though, i promise. lol.


28. What were your favorite films of this year?

Seven Pounds, The Dark Knight, Wanted, Role Model, The Pineapple Express, The Incredible Hulk, Sex & The City.


29. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?

Surprise party, and swanky hotel room gift from daddy-o. (he just wants a grandson, really. lol) 26.


30. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?

going on my planned road trip across the U.S. and the drama being removed.


31. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2008?

FLYY! always. of course. lol.


32. What kept you sane?

my mother, poetry, and music.

Kanye, My Black President, and his flyy ass Wife.

anything Barack and Michelle Obama said, wrote, or did.

Britney.

Bianca and Sir Vonness.

stay focused, pray on it, give your all, and eventually, everything works out.

also, unless you know that you know that you know, ice coldness is always best.
