watching VH1 soul and typing. such creativity. lol.

i'm jealous. i have to find some way to be famous. just for the clothes though. lol.

famous people get to wear the absolute coolest clothes. celebrity women get to wear the baddest outfits.

like the one lisa lopez had on in donnell jone's video 'you know what's up'. where else could you wear that?

'you see a lot of contenders they try to end up in my world... a reputation known as the untouchable girl...'

'so if you serious i'm curious to see what you got. my love is furious and i believe in blowin up spots.'

so gangsta. i miss left eye.

and this one rihanna has on. only a few occupations you can have and wear that outfit and it not be absurd.

before i'm thirty i'm gonna be in a movie. watch.

... but if i'm not, i don't want anybody digging this post up. lol.

i'm not very social... if you all haven't noticed. far from stuck up... just not very social. very esoteric. very self-contained. well, i'll take that back. i'm very social in a distant kind of way. if that makes any sense.

doesn't help that i am so effing stressed out about life right now. ugh.

someone just invited me to contribute to their blog. thing is... i have no clue who this person is. wow. men are funny. no email, no blog comment? just, hey i'm trying to meet chicks. wanna be a contributor? ummmm ...

dannnng muze why you puttin him on blast like that?

'do you wanna ride in my mercedes boy...tell me what you gonna do...' man i am SO jamming. lol. pebbles was that deal. but why is her dress so beauty queen-ish and the other girls got the nurses' aid outfits? that's jacked. guess she was the first beyonce. lolol. actually, i think that would be diana ross...

i'm gonna need some 'attention' soon. whew. 'it's been a while...'

uh oh.. my JAM. 'you're my ladyyyy...'. reminds me of cruising down Belle Isle (detroit thing) with the ex. slow, so everyone could see. 'don't think i don't see em lookin at ya... all of them wishin they could have ya..'

man. the days of carefree love. miss that. d'angelo was the DEAL back then. whew.

you ever been really sad about something but couldn't talk about it with anyone cause you know they wouldn't understand? man that ish sucks.

thanks eclectik for the shout out yesterday! you rock.

Girl, Interrupted is such an excellent movie. (just flipped channels for a minute. lol) Angelina plays a crazy chick like no other. lol. go to about 1:43 in the clip:

"but hey man it's cool, it' okay. it's fine, it's f*cking fine! a man is a d*ck, is a man, is a d*ck, is a chicken... is a dad, a Valium, a speculum.. whatever. hmm? whatever."

whew.

'A Family That Preys'... i'm undecided. i'm gonna go see it just based on the cast alone, but i dunno if i'm liking the plot.

i hate closure. it's so final.

i really need some attention. but i don't want any from anyone. 22 with a catch...

'ooooh i like it like that, she workin that back, i don't know how to act, slow motion for me... slow motion for me...'

man that used to be my junk. i say junk because it's one of those songs that i shouldn't listen to but can't stop nodding to the beat and smutty lyrics. makes me wanna move my hips in slow motion. lol. i like the clean version though. dang @ all this cursing. ...and am i the only one that finds juvenile's voice soooo sexy time? lol. a liiiiittle bit deeper and it'd be perfect.

little sister #1 just recently taught me how to belly roll. i'm not that good at it yet, but i will be. she taught me how to hip roll and now i can do it almost better than her. oh yeah! lol.

i wonder what it is about words that draw us to people. i mean, when you really sit and think about it, they're just words. no actions behind them... no proof unless they reinforce what they say with deeds. i've been asked out by five bloggers all based on words. ...and maybe a few pics... but hey. lol.

they're now doing a ne-yo marathon or something. i love 'ms. independent'. wish i could relate. hahaha. i work like a boss but definitely don't get to play like a boss... cause i don't get paid like a boss! lol.

'all because of you... '

'and i know this much is true, baby you, have become my addiction... '

i like ne-yo. my favorite song by him has got to be 'let's just be.'

'we can watch a dvd, baby. sit up in the house and be, just be there... you ain't gotta get cute for me, truthfully, i prefer you with no makeup.. in one of my t-shirts, bunny slippers on your feet, girl, and just tryin to be all up under me... on the couch in front of the tv.. baby that's gangsta...let's just be...'

i wish people would stop telling me to join Twitter. too much of my business in the blog streets already. lol.

umm rapheal saadiq... where have you been? you 'love that girl', huh? okay... i can dig a little bit. why do men love using sweet and tender when describing a woman? how exactly can you be tender?

i'm thinking of working at Fitness USA. one of my customer friends at the bank started working there in early spring and i have literally watched her go from being overdrawn constantly and driving a raggedy four-colored car to driving a G6 and having a few thou in the bank. she told me to come up there... so yeah, i think i will. just have to figure out how to fit my volleyball schedule into it.

ohmigosh this is my JAM. 'lay your head on my pillow...'

'here we are in the room together... holding hands and it's gonna get better... and i know that you're in the mood...'

man. memories. love this song. this video is a little disturbing though. why are they all standing around naked? where are the pillows? none of them are particularly sexy time enough to be naked in a video anyway...

uh oh.. wait... my part... 'the cutie pies they all, they can always l-a-y on my pilooow...'

i'm seriously jamming right now.

music makes me happy.

lolololol... i was watching Comedy Central and this comedian was saying how he hates watching tv during the day because all the commercials make him feel like a loser. "tired of sitting on the couch all day?" "are you unemployed and pathetic? get your degree today!"

had me cracking up.

i actually like this song. 'whatever you like' by T.I.

'see i want your body, need your body, long as you got me, you won't need nobody. you want it, i got it, go get it, i'll buy it... tell them other broke n*ggas be quiet...hey!'

i know. i know. i shouldn't. but me and T.I. go waaay back to 'i can't be your man'. hahaha.

i kinda dig this 'superwoman' song by a. keys. she's pretty consistent with the good music. i like that.

shouldn't 'the people' by common be Obama's campaign song when he visits black people? lol. LOVE the music in this song. kanye is so talented.

2:38.. 'my music ignite the people like Obama...' see? lol.

'me and you, your mama and your cousin, too... rollin down the strip on vogues...'

outkast is so awesome.

kanye!! 'world's, world's, world's famous...' oh yeah. muah.

so my coolest blogger/nappturality/fotki/myspace (dang homie! lmao) friend instant/vintage has a new blog... conveniently titled Instant Vintage. you should check her out. cause she rocks. i've been inspired to do a fashion/what i'm wearing post soon. her shoes are all awesomeness.

alright. i'm sleepy... and my phone is ringing?

holla!

back down memory lane...

funny how when you're a child life is so carefree, fun, and is basically just one long romp around in the brightly colored cage of 'balls' (chuck e. cheese, people. lol). maaan... childhood is GREAT. and not that i didn't enjoy the awkward teen years or the good ol' college days... but i was channel surfing the other day and E.T. was on. how cool is that? haven't seen that since... wow. i don't think i can remember the last time i watched that.

anyhoo, that got me to thinking on my favorite childhood things. if you're an 80's baby, holla! lol.

candy: ring pops, nerds and now and laters. yummy. are fruit roll ups considered candy? lol.

cereal: peanut butter cap'n crunch all the way, baby. that's actually STILL one of my favorite cereals. only one that has topped it in adulthood ... and that's raisin bran. oh yeah. lol.

toys: glow worm, my kid sister, my little pony, and my roller skates... all day. the cabbage patch dolls were that deal too. i had like 47 of them... whew daddy spoiled me. lol.

song: 'i'm bad' by michael jackson and 'ain't nobody' by chaka khan. and of course as i got older it was all about The Boys and ABC. hahaha. then Immature... wow. i was totally convinced that i would meet Romeo and he'd fall madly in love. lol.

friends: melissa, latanja, and tawanna. the latter two are still two of my bestest friends.

school subjects: math (can you imagine i used to be good at it? what happened along the way i can't tell you. lol) and creative writing. i didn't know i liked to write. i just knew every year that i would win the 'little storytellers' award for the halloween story contest. it was just a given. lol.

clothing: well don't know if this is clothing, but i LOVED my scrunchies. lolololol. i'd put my hair in the most hideous side ponytail thing and then pile at least three or four brightly colored hair scrunchies around it. wow. just wow.

i also had this michael jackson 'beat it' jacket that i loved to death. i don't think i ever took it off from the time i got it until my grandmother got mad at me one day and put it in the attic. i know right? *tear* lol. and of course, my 'thriller' shirt that i still rock to this day. sad, i know.

tv programs: punky brewster (she was flyy... don't hate. lol) the cosby show (of course) power rangers (smh) the care bears, the smurfs, schoolhouse rock, the flintstones, the muppets, and the jetsons. maaaan, saturday was my FAVORITE day. ever.

books: any beverly cleary book. and a little later, the sweet valley high series. lol.

food: NOTHING like my mommy's spaghetti. and daddy's mashed potatoes. nothing.

memory: my mom was in a all-girl band called Lady Deluxe (yes, SO flyy) and they would perform all around the city (mom on keyboard) and sing all these old songs. some of my favorite memories are being in the drummer's basement (think her name was sheila) and jammin' next to my mom. that is also the reason why 'ain't nobody' by chaka khan is one of my fav all-time songs. they used to play that and JAM. seriously.

fishing with my dad, even though i HATED worms, fish, and the cold water... it was still fun.

what are some of your favorite childhood things?

hope all is fab and flyy. *smiles*
